Weaknesses of Big Ramy Before the 2022 Olympia
Bodybuilding coach Dennis James has great confidence in his protégé Mamdouh Mohammed Hassan Elssbiay (Big Ramy) as he aims for his third Mr. Olympia 2022 win this year.
During a recent podcast (video above), James discussed his flight to Dubai to train Ramy and shared his thoughts on why he believes the champion is on track for another title defense.
Many title contenders were beginning to believe that Rami would not perform at his best this year, but he dispelled those assumptions with a photo report of his physique shape last month. The Big Ramy weighed 337 pounds there and looked dry and of good quality.
15 weeks before the biggest show of Olympia 2022
Ramy is bodybuilding coach Dennis James flew to Dubai to make sure the defending champion is on schedule for his next title defense. Dennis is confident in Big Ramy’s chances at the 2022 Olympia because he started preparing for the competition much earlier than last year.
While visiting Ramy in Dubai, Dennis said the defending champion was struggling to work on the lagging parts of his back, most notably his trapezius.
His back already looks much better than it was, but of course, some muscles are atrophied, namely the trapezius.
Yesterday we went to one South Korean guy, he is engaged in active “release” of enslaved muscles – Dennis added.
I had Big Ramy show the wide back position and showed his lagging muscle, namely the trapezius.
The South Korean guy thinks that some parts of the trapezoid are trophied and because of this there is no full muscle growth and said that he would work on them. And this is our primary goal.
But his triceps are much better and his arms become full and strong again.
Despite his past troubles, Dennis believes 2022 will see Mr. Olympia see “the best Ramy in Olympia history.”
Ramy will be so good everywhere in all proportions, I guarantee you Dennis said. I guarantee you this will be the best Rami ever. I’ll be here until the end of September and will oversee Ramy is preparations.

Upon learning that Ramy was struggling to activate his trapezium, Milos Sarcev suggested that the athlete try electrical muscle stimulation.
So, Dennis, the last time criticized this beginner muscle stimulant, I said that I don’t like people training with it.
In this case with Big Ramy, I would just try it, maybe the motor fiber in traps is dead and something is needed to stimulate them.
According to bodybuilding legend Jay Cutler, the current roster of the men’s open category will be represented by the strongest roster of athletes. Given Dennis James’ ability to bring Ramy to peak form, the defending champion is expected to put on his best look at the 2022 Mr. Olympia.
